El Color, una Circunstancía Espacial y Temporal: Carlos Cruz-Diez

22 April - 19 June 2010
Overview

Carlos Cruz-Diez is one of the great figures of contemporary art, especially Kinetic and Optical art. The exhibition “Color, a spatial and temporal circumstance” offers a journey through the plastic research that, since 1954, the artist has carried out between Caracas, Barcelona and Paris.

The works on display confront us with different behaviors of color approached as an autonomous reality that takes place in real time and space, without the help of form. For this occasion, we have put together a series of pieces ranging from “Construcción en Cadena ocre y morado”, from 1957, to the “Balboa” series and the “Fisicromías Panam”, his most recent creations.
