Cortes: Thomas Witte

1 October - 22 November 2016
Overview

One of the features that characterizes contemporary creation is the creators’ reflection on their own processes and the means that make possible the development of the work as a final product. Many contemporary works are also inquiries about the nature of art, in which artists no longer seek to represent the world, but to question the processes of representation.

Such is the case with Thomas Witte, an American artist who lives and works in New Jersey, specializing in the creation of complex scenes on paper stencils, elaborated with careful cuts made by hand.
