Ennio Chiggio NAPLES, ITALY, b. 1938 - 2020.

Biography

He carried out technical and artistic studies in Venice, where he frequently attended the Faculty of Architecture.

 

He founded Gruppo N, along with Biasi, Costa, Landi and Massironi. In this group he worked in the field of kinetic images, exploring optical structures, transparencies and colored light sources.

 

Later, in 1965 Chiggio founded in Padua, with Teresa Rampazzi and Serenella Marega, the experimental phonology group “Nuove Proposte Sonore” for the production of sound objects with electronic and synthetic music.

 

He continued his activity linked to the European avant-garde music laboratories until 1977 and participated actively until 1988 in groups of artists such as the “Gruppo TATA” that deals with installations and research on ludic language.
