Alberto Cavalieri Caracas, Venezuela, b. 1969.

Biography

Venezuelan visual artist recognized for his monumental sculptures and his architectural interventions. He studied industrial design, mechanical engineering, and fine arts, to later dedicate himself to sculpture, developing an important artistic career with solo shows and group exhibitions in museums and galleries in Venezuela, the United States, Spain, England, Mexico, Colombia, and Canada. among other countries.

In his work, the behavior of materials stands out as the main interest, as well as how their shapes allow the questioning of what we observe: weight and rigidity as opposed to lightness, sinuosity, and balance.

His work is represented in several collections, such as the Museum of Contemporary Art in Caracas, the Ciudad Banesco Collection in Caracas (Venezuela), the Museum of Latin American Art in California (United States), the Museum of Modern Art in Cuenca (Ecuador), among other.
