Narciso Debourg Caracas, Venezuela, 1925-2022.

Biography

Venezuelan painter, sculptor and kinetic artist, living in Paris since 1949. He was a member of the Taller Libre de Arte and the group of Venezuelan artists Los Disidentes.

In his work, Debourg explores the repetition of small geometric shapes, placed regularly on the support and cut diagonally, to produce rhythmic alterations of form, light and color.

He is one of the main artists on the field of Kinetic Art and as such has participated in important international exhibitions.

Although most of his work consists of assemblages in wood, he has also worked on flat supports, such as canvas and graphics, and on monumental integrations in architecture.
