Biography

Eduardo Sanabria, also known as EDO, is a Venezuelan artist and cartoonist. His work has been published in the main Caracas newspapers, in “Venezuela Business News”, in Washington and New York, as well as in “Diario Las Américas” in Miami.

 

He attended illustration courses, graphic design workshops, and comic book conventions in Panama, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, and the United States (Miami, New York, Phoenix, San Diego, and Las Vegas).

 

EDO has twice won the Pedro León Zapata Prize awarded by the newspaper “El Nacional” to the best cartoonist in the Venezuelan press (2005 and 2008).

 

In 2007, he was awarded the Gold Pen Prize as the best cartoonist in the 1st Exhibition of Graphic Humor of the Ibero-American Art Fair in Caracas.

 

He has published a series of books entitled HUMOR-ES EDO, Volumes 1, 2 and 3, which consist of a selection of his most outstanding works published in the Venezuelan press.

 

EDO has had various exhibitions in Caracas, Milan, Seoul, Shanghai, Panama, Chicago, New York and Miami.
