Daniel Adrián Miami, Estados Unidos, b. 1979.

Biography

Photographer born in the United States, raised and educated in Venezuela. He currently lives and work in Miami.

In his work, he modifies the static support of the photos to make them dynamic. Adrián systematically fragments the image, superimposes it in different layers and reinvents the composition of the photograph, giving the viewer the opportunity to perceive diverse simultaneous readings. His volumetric photographs seem to be made and unmade while we move in front of them. Thus, and through the interaction with the viewer, contrasts are generated between the static of the photo and the dynamic of the support.

This interaction introduces a temporary element to photography that brings into play new relationships between the time in which the photo was taken and the time in which the viewer observes and decodes it.
