Barquisimeto, Venezuela (1953)

He studied Pure Art and Art History at the Escuela de Artes Visuales Cristobal Rojas in Caracas. He developed his career between Europe and America.

He lived and worked in Carrara, Italy, for seven years; frequented the chair of painting at the Academia de Bellas Artes, dictated by Getulio Alviani, holding exhibitions in Europe and also frequenting the workshops of important artists including Gio Pomodoro, Alicia Penalba, Carlo Sergio Signori and Gonzalo Fonseca, as well as the important representatives of venezuelan kinetic art Jesus Soto and Carlos Cruz Diez, among other renowned Latin American artists.

In Venezuela, he has been recognized with all the awards given to venezuelan sculpture, highlighting the grand prize of the Salón Michelena in its LI edition. He has had exhibitions in all national museums of Venezuela among which are the Museo de Bellas Artes in Caracas, and three exhibitions at the Muiseo de Arte Contemporáneo of Caracas.

He has an important trajectory in Symposia, Biennials and International Sculpture Workshops, as well as in developing urban projects and monumental works.
